Winter Sudoku for Kids – printable PDF worksheets
Each PDF has 6 puzzles on A4 paper and the answers at the end – just tap, download and print.
Snow, sleds and snowmen
In our winter sudoku, the squares hold ⛄ snowmen, ❄️ snowflakes, 🛷 sleds and 🧤 mittens. The 6×6 adds 🧣 scarves and ⛸️ ice skates; the 9×9 also has 🎿 skis, 🐧 penguins and 🌲 fir trees. The 9×9 is available online; the printable worksheets come in 4×4 and 6×6. The rule stays the same: each picture appears exactly once in every row, every column and every box.
Because there are no Christmas motifs, the set doesn’t only fit December – it works just as well in January and February.
Ideas for cold days
- After playing in the snow: warm up, have a hot chocolate, solve a sheet.
- Winter break: a few sheets for days when it’s too cold or too wet outside.
- Preschool topic “winter”: solve the 4×4 together, then talk about what everyone has done in the snow.
- Step it up: whoever manages the 4×4 on “Easy” tries the “4×4 · Medium” sheet, then the 6×6.
More puzzles for the winter months
In December there is also the Christmas sudoku and the sudoku advent calendar. When the days get longer, the spring sudoku follows.
